How Sky Atlas counts Bluesky
How many likes and posts are there on Bluesky per day?

Where does this data come from?
GraphTracks reads the public Bluesky firehose (Jetstream) in real time and counts every like, post, repost, reply and follow across the whole network, not a single account. Daily totals match independent Bluesky statistics to within a few percent.
What counts as a post?
Posts are new top-level posts, including quote posts. Replies are counted separately.
What is the difference between follows and net follows?
Follows counts every new follow. Net follows subtracts unfollows. The weekly comparison uses net follows, because individual follows are kept for 7 days only.
How often does Sky Atlas update?
Every 30 seconds while the page is open. Charts use 10-minute intervals in UTC, and today stops at the last complete interval. The current rate is a 5-minute average.
How are top posts chosen?
By engagement in the last hour: likes, plus reposts and replies counted twice and quotes counted three times.
